Misc. Projects Portfolio
In addition to my game development and digital art work, there have been numerous other projects I have worked on. Here are some of the projects I think best showcase my creative and analytical skills.
Pokemon: An Analysis of Strength and Realism Using Pokedex Data (2022)
Project Duration: (November 2022 - December 2022)
View Project: GitHub
This project explores a dataset containing statistics on the Pokemon video game characters up to the 8th generation (last updated October 2020). We asked two types of questions within our data set. The first three questions are concentrated on measures of a Pokemon's strength, while the last two are focused on a Pokemon's realism. This project was conducted as a part of the CS260: Databases and Data Visualizations course at DeSales University.
Five Nights at Frankie's (2022)
Event Dates: October 22 & 23, 2022
Event Planning Duration: April 2022 - October 2022
Experience the haunting world of game developer Scott Cawthon's popular Five Night's at Freddy's game series in this haunted house experience at DeSales University. Participants play the role of work-study students tasked with keeping watch over the new school mascot costumes during the night hours. When the costumes turn out to be malfunctioning animatronics, it's up to the group to deactivate them all and escape the basement with their lives. Featuring an hour of scares starring seven live actors, multiple rooms of puzzle solving, a dark and creepy atmosphere, and tons of references to the Five Night's at Freddy's games, this event was a massive success, with over fifty participants attending.
DeSales University: DeChantal Hall Room Model (2022)
Development: April 2022 - August 2022
Download: GitHub
This interactive 3D model is a representation of what a standard dorm room looks like in DeChantal Hall at DeSales University. It was initially created to assist me with furniture placement and decorations prior to move in. It was made without true room dimensions, so it is slightly smaller than the actual room.
Who Killed Luke Cossman? (2022)
Event Dates: April 9 & 10, 2022
Event Planning Duration: January 2022 - April 2022
There has been a (fictitious) murder at DeSales University, and it's up for you to crack the case. Computer Science student Luke Cossman was found dead in Dooling Hall Room 229 on DeSales University campus. Several suspects have been implicated in the investigation, including friends, a significant other, and the private investigator himself. In this escape room experience, players will search for clues, interview suspects, and look for a murder weapon that points to the killer. This unique Escape room featured four live actors, and had a different killer every time it was run, meaning it was always a mystery as to who the killer could be.
Double Choco Research
Project Duration: May 2020 - May 2021
Over the course of my Freshman and Sophomore years at DeSales University, I conducted research on the Double Choco Puzzle, a Japanese puzzle game first introduced in late 2019. My study of the game included creating algorithms to solve the game, a puzzle generation application, and an inquiry into the properties of unsolvable boards. My findings were presented at the DeSales University Pie and AI Conference (September 2020), Moravian College Student Mathematics Conference (February 2021), and EPaDel Spring Chapter Meeting (April 2021).
